He/she may also be assigned sporadically to technical representative role for base maintenance checks. The Flight Safety Officer supports the Safety Manager in maintaining and continuously improving the Safety Management System (SMS) of the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) in accordance with EASA Regulation (EU) No. 965/2012 (Air OPS) and associated AMC/GM. The Aircraft Maintenance Program and Reliability Engineer acts as an interface between internal departments and external providers. The Aircraft Maintenance Program and Reliability Engineer develops short and long-term enhancement plans to improve the effectiveness of the maintenance program, increase aircraft availability and reduce delays.
